Saturday was my last day at Lane Bryant. It may have been the best day of my life. Well, top 20 at lest. i no longer have to deal with my bitch of a boss, my stupid DM, who dose not know what she's doing, my Regional manager Perry, who i still think is gay, even if he has a wife and kids. and all my lovly customers, and the ones that aren't so lovly. GOOD BYE TO ALL!

Salem library reopened with state certification

After a complete remodeling of Salem's public library -- placing more books, space and technology at residents' fingertips -- the town now has a state-certified library. Following a temporary closure for renovation, the library's doors were re-opened on Oct. 1. An open house, which was attended by Mayor Lane Henderson and state library director Donna Jones Morris, took place on Oct. 9, said Jeff Nielson, Salem City finance director. It was the culmination of a long process that will make the library eligible for state and federal grants, Salem Library director Kerry Loveless said.
"We've been working on that [receiving the certification] for the past four to five years," she said. "They have a long list of standards, and we met them; on paper we're a real library, and through your eyes you can see we're a real library."
The expansion project was paid for with bonds approved by the City Council. Henderson said funds were put to good use, because the library provides students and other residents with additional opportunities, such as Internet access for those who do not have it at home.
"It's a safe and friendly environment to promote the learning experience," he said.
Henderson praised individuals and businesses who worked to bring about the library's upgrade and accreditation, making special mention of Loveless and Councilwoman Lynn Durrant, a library board representative.
"It's a wonderful project," Henderson said. "It's been an effort of love for a lot of people."
Nearly 700 books were checked out on the first day, and many applications were filled to obtain library cards, Loveless said.
The library originally covered about 1,400 square feet. With the renovations, it's up to nearly 4,500 square feet, Loveless said. With the extra space, the library was able to add books and five public computers. Previously, there were only two old computers, which have now been discarded, she said. Other new features include a glass-covered gas fireplace, a larger corner for preschool story time, high-speed Internet connections and wireless Internet service, a private conference study room, storage and office space, copying, printing and a wall for artists to display their paintings, photography and other works.
The story time corner -- once crowded with bookshelves -- now has space for 20-40 children, Loveless said.
During the summer, the library added about 2,000 titles to its collection. Since then, another $10,000 have been spent on books and videos, likely adding another 1,000 titles to the library, Loveless said.
During the library's remodeling, Salem residents were able to use the Spanish Fork Library.
All who would like to have a Salem library card must fill out a new application form and present valid ID and proof of address.

today, if this posts before midnight, was my 1 year anniversary at Lane Bryant. it was a very depressing day. i have wasted my life in that horrible place for the last year. but on the plus side i have just became the owner of a beautiful red Nissan Versa, whom i named Lola, and yes she is a show girl. thankful at last to not be driving a HUGE AMERICAN CAR!!! p.s. i love you Lincoln, until you sale.

The Fishies in the sea..

Everyone says that there are other fish in the sea. What does that mean? besides the obvious. does that mean that if someone doesn't accept you for you, you can do better. what is this person is who and what you need, but there are other fish in the sea. For Easter i got a Betta fish and am currently trying not to kill it(pictures to follow). But what if our relationships with people were like my relationship with my fishy? i talk to him twice a day when i feed him and that's the only contact we have. is your relationships like that? today let's see what we can do to make them better.

the other day when i was trying to burn a cd my hotmail account pops up and says 'you're connected to the internet' so i finally found my free hot spot! so we've been downloading from limewire to our hearts content. just to catch you up i moved to tempe az, where i'm melting, literally. i'm 'working' at the feista mall which is about 3 miles away from the house. i say 'working' because i don't know if 8 hours a week is concidered working. but my hours are getting better. when i arrived in the melting city of tempe my sister and her husband got me a bike for the 1960 and it's sweet. delena rode it and she said she felt like Mary Popins on it i said i felt like the evil witch on the wizard of oz do do do dodo do.

i have been in a technology black hole. my parent's house is like the exception for all technology. plus they do not have the Internet. i found a spot where i picked up wireless Internet from one of our neighbors but that ended. So moving to AZ didn't change my Internet status much. A friend of my sister and brother in law has the Internet so that's my option. so until i have my pictures downloaded post may be slow. Sadly enough, Sunday was my first concert ever! i went with my brother in law to the St. Patrick's day Flogging Molly Concert, and it rocked! i have never seen anyone air guitar a banjo before. i also got to spend a week in the 95 degrees in Tempe AZ where i went swimming everyday so i wouldn't melt like a snowman.

This is the the apartment complex that i live in and the owners have decided to screw themselves over. In light of recent events the managers have decided to put a 12 a.m. curfew of the apartments, which i have decided that i don't like, so i'm going to rebel. To occupy these apartments the managers depends greatly on the recommendation of it's tenets, which will no longer be given. instead we will be endorsing another complex down the street. it is not very intelligent to piss off your tenets so close to application time. stay tune to find out what happens next...

This is the first print i made in my photography class. i was so proud it turned out so well. I found this car in a lot near my apartment, it seemed a wasted to let it set there all by itself, it's so pretty. i'm starting to get a hang of working my camera and i found some cool shots when i was driving with mom on Monday so i hope they turn out okay. i'm excited to do my next assignment for class, we get to do self portraits in the bathroom or the kitchen. i know, but she set the place. i've got some pretty fun ideas but you'll have to wait and see.... School's sucking like it always does. my english class is kicking my trash, but hopefully make it. peace out

Yesterday while I was driving through Provo, UT i saw i brand new Porsche Carrera. i know ! Who the hell owns a Carrera in Provo, but i saw it. Any who i was at a red light and when the light turned green i took off. I looked over in this mid-life crises mobile was trying to race me off the line and i wasn't even trying to race and i whipped his trash in my mom's 97' Dodge Caravan. Being the youngest of seven children i never had to deal with a younger sibling, hence my great dislike for children in general. My boat the Lincoln

Lincoln's suck! I my lovely new(to me) car has decided to hate me. Yesterday as we wre pulling out to go to the Wal, my roommate krista informed me that my back tire was flat. Well the jack that comes with my lovely car would not work. i accually had to call my friend Kelly, and have him come change my tire. Kelly and i had to lift up the car and have my roommate switch the tire. we pulled a pit stop in out parking lot. Then today when i was taking my boat down to have the tire fixed it wouldn't start. my battery was dead. i ended up having problems trying to jump it and by the time it finally started the shop that was going to fix it, it got busy for the day so i had to leave my car to go to class. I love my car!!!!
My roommate got a t.v. for christmas so i now have the pleasure of having to deal with them skipping classes to watch their shows, and them falling to sleeep on the couch in the middle of the day, because they both like to take naps. The semester's going to be the best ever!!!!!!

there is nothing like the sight of fresh flowers or the smell in the air after a rain storm or the sound of the crunching snow. but here at snow there is nothing like the beginning of a new term. After three blissful weeks of no people i get to endure the lovely company of my two roommates. that shooting myself in the foot thing sounds better all the time. But i believe that this three weeks apart may be the thing that saves those girls from a violent and sudden death, hopefully.

if life at college has never been a reality for you, you're lucky. life can be better here at snow college, but it probably won't. People say college is the best years of your life, that you meet so many life long friends, but that's BS. if i had the option i would gladly choose shooting myself in the foot over going to college.
